Background. Currently, spiral compressors are often used in refrigeration. They have a high volumetric efficiency, low noise, high balance and a number of other advantages. There is not enough information in the public domain describing the profiling of scroll, therefore, when designing scroll compressor, the greatest difficulty is precisely the scroll profiling. Aim: description of the plotting and profiling of the most common types of scrolls of refrigeration scroll compressors. Materials and methods: The use of known mathematical relations and tools for the development of calculation formulas. Results and applications: The necessary mathematical relations are developed and described, which allow profiling and 3D models constructing of a piecewise circular scroll, an involute scroll and an Archimedes' scroll.
