Abstract

Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar las metas migratorias de estudiantes de secundaria enfocados en la agricultura en la región norte de Ecuador rural. Utilizando un enfoque cuantitativo, se examinaron 366 encuestas de alumnos de instituciones agrícolas en tres cantones ubicados en distintas zonas geográficas. Los factores que impulsan la migración incluyen bajos precios y salarios agrícolas, así como la falta de apoyo técnico en las áreas de la Sierra y la Costa, en comparación con la región amazónica. Más del 50% de los encuestados expresan su deseo de migrar para continuar estudios en entornos urbanos en busca de mejores oportunidades económicas y laborales. Se identifica una relación negativa entre la aspiración migratoria y la rentabilidad de la agricultura, mientras que se destaca una correlación positiva con la propiedad de tierras familiares.
