
A morte celular é essencial à manutenção do funcionamento orgânico. A metuose é um tipo de morte celular do tipo não apoptótica, induzindo macropinocitose. Atualmente, vem sendo estudada sobre seus efeitos no câncer. Com base nisso, busca-se analisar os avanços no tratamento antineoplásico baseado em indução da metuose, identificando as neoplasias sólidas que estão sendo estudadas, as vias farmacológicas utilizadas pelas drogas e seus resultados in vitro e in vivo.
