LA MEJORA DE LOS HÁBITOS DE DESAYUNO Y MERIENDA ESCOLAR A TRAVÉS DE UNA DOBLE INTERVENCIÓN ESCUELA-FAMILIA

Abstract

El estudio que se presenta perseguía conocer y mejorar los hábitos de descanso, desayuno y merienda escolar de un grupo de escolares a partir de una propuesta educativa según el enfoque comunitario. Se ha realizado un estudio longitudinal en tres fases a partir de un diseño cuasi-experimental de pretest y postest con 48 estudiantes de 3º de Educación Primaria. Los resultados evidenciaron que en el primer periodo solo un 3.8% de la muestra realizaba un desayuno completo frente al 32.8% de la tercera fase. Asimismo, se registró una mejora en el consumo de fruta, que aumentó de un promedio del 5.7% a un 24.9%. Las conclusiones aluden al positivo impacto de la intervención de corte comunitario en la mejora de los hábitos.
