Abstract

The concepts of orthodoxy and heterodoxy are, in practice more concerned with relative position and power, than with actual doctrinal corpus. This often ends up being expression or formalization of a fight for autoaffirmation or for the dominion of a portion of power. In this way we can see how the actual process of marginalization and rejection of dissidence is manifested in groups, as apparitionists, themselves liminals, according to the official orthodoxy of the Church. In the affirmation of this first heterodoxy, all co-existing splits, but above all, the territorial fight for the sacred place of apparitions, will be manifested in the form of the orthodoxy-heterodoxy duality, which may be repeated in this way as a multiple image between two parallel mirrors.
