Abstract

El avance del uso de los recursos naturales por parte del hombre en busca de una mayor produccion de alimentos, ha tenido consecuencias en el medio ambiente con el agotamiento de las areas agricolas, la sedimentacion de rios, presas y la desaparicion de fuentes de agua, lo que ha llevado a la crisis de abastecimiento y escasez. de agua en centros urbanos con cambio climatico en muchas regiones. Con el avance de los productos de teledeteccion, es posible estudiar el medio ambiente de manera mas efectiva, monitoreando areas estrategicas, delineando medidas para mitigar impactos y la mejor manera de gestionar areas. Con ayuda de imagenes orbitales de alta resolucion espacial, se analizaron los ambientes en el ano 2010 y 2016, cultivados con el cultivo de cana de azucar en el municipio de Botucatu, interior del Estado de Sao Paulo-SP, Brasil, donde, se encontro en un primer momento, en 2010, un ambiente protegido a lo largo de los recursos hidricos, con areas cercanas siendo cultivadas con el cultivo de cana de azucar y en la imagen posterior, de 2016, se observo un ambiente perturbado con procesos erosivos de grandes dimensiones, de tipo laminar, evolucionando a grandes formaciones de erosiones a modo de barrancos con gran movimiento de masas, lo que provoco la perdida de tierras cultivables y el transporte de material erosionado que contiene insumos utilizados en la agricultura para los cuerpos de agua, provocando sedimentacion y disminucion de su caudal, alterando el habitat acuatico de la region y pudiendo provocar el aumento de ocurrencias de inundaciones e inundaciones en los centros urbanos.
