ENERGY GENERATION OF SHORT ROTATION EUCALYPTUS ABSTRACT: Renewable sources of energy is required more frequently because of growing concern about environmental issues and the global appeal for the development of various types of alternative energy, resulting in the realization of technological studies and research focused on this area. This study aimed to analyze varying spacing and different types of fertilizer levels, verifying the influence of fertilization and spacing factors in wood for energy generation. The methodological procedures were performing in trees dendrometry, wood calorific value, and average basic density of each treatment. The results proved that there is an influence of spacing and fertilization on wood properties. Denser treatments and higher fertilizer doses showed higher total volumes and energy potential. KEYWORDS: Bioenergy; calorific value; volumetry of energetic forests.
