Flexural Properties of Chairside CAD/CAM Materials

Abstract

Les matériaux dentaires entièrement céramiques sont une alternative remarquable aux autres matériaux de restauration en raison de leur biocompatibilité unique et de leur attrait esthétique supérieur [1, 2]. Ils ont une excellente esthétique, une résistance élevée et un ajustement acceptable, en particulier avec l'introduction de nouvelles méthodes de traitement [3], telles que les systèmes de conception/fabrication assistée par ordinateur (CAO/FAO). La disponibilité de blocs fabriqués a permis la fabrication de restaurations esthétiques indirectes en une seule visite [4, 5]. Selon le mode de traitement en laboratoire, les restaurations céramiques très précises sont pressées, broyées, coulées par glissement ou frittées ; et selon leur composition chimique, elles peuvent être classées en types renforcés par de la vitrocéramique à teneur élevée et faible en leucite, du disilicate de lithium et de la magnésie et de l'alumine [6]. En raison de la gamme plus large de blocs CAO/FAO disponibles ayant des propriétés diverses, il peut parfois être difficile de faire le bon choix pour des situations cliniques spécifiques [2]. Les céramiques dentaires, connues pour être fragiles par nature avec de faibles résistances à la traction [7], sont extrêmement sensibles aux défauts de surface et à la croissance inhérente

Los materiales dentales totalmente cerámicos son una alternativa notable a otros materiales restauradores debido a su biocompatibilidad única y atractivo estético superior [1,2]. Tienen una estética excelente, alta resistencia y un ajuste aceptable, especialmente con la introducción de nuevos métodos de procesamiento [3], como los sistemas de diseño/fabricación asistidos por ordenador (CAD/CAM). La disponibilidad de bloques fabricados ha permitido la fabricación de restauraciones estéticas indirectas en una sola visita [4,5]. De acuerdo con el modo de procesamiento de laboratorio, las restauraciones cerámicas de alta precisión se prensan con éter, se fresan, se cuelan o se sinterizan; y de acuerdo con su composición química, se pueden clasificar aún más en tipos reforzados con núcleo de vidrio-cerámica y magnesia de disilicato de litio de alta y baja Lucita [6]. All-ceramic dental materials are a remarkable alternative to other restorative materials due to their unique biocompatibility and superior esthetic appeal [1,2].They have excellent esthetics, high strength and acceptable fit, especially with the introduction of new processing methods [3], such as the Computer-Aided Design/Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems.The availability of manufactured blocks has enabled the fabrication of indirect esthetic restorations in a single visit [4,5].According to the mode of laboratory processing, highly accurate ceramic restorations are ei-ther pressed, milled, slip-cast or sintered; and according to their chemical composition, they can be further classified into high-and low-leucite, lithium disilicate glass-ceramic and magnesia and alumina core reinforced types [6].Due to the wider range of available CAD/CAM blocks having diverse properties, it can be sometimes challenging to make the proper selection for specific clinical situations [2].Dental ceramics, known to be brittle in nature with low tensile strengths [7], are extremely sensitive to inherently growing surface defects and
