Abstract

Die DINI/nestor AG Forschungsdaten führte im November 2020 einen Workshop zum Thema Data Stewardship im Forschungsdatenmanagement[1] durch. Der Workshop befasste sich mit den unterschiedlichen Rollen, Aufgaben und Einsatzgebieten von sogenannten Data Stewards. Die einzelnen Beiträge gaben Einblicke in die inhaltlichen Aufgabenfelder und Verantwortlichkeiten von Data Stewards und boten Einsichten in die Praxis. Schnell wurde deutlich, dass Stewardship in den Wissenschaftseinrichtungen sehr unterschiedliche Formen annehmen kann[2]. Im Rahmen von DFG-geförderten Sonderforschungsbereichen bieten die Teilprojekte zur Informationsinfrastruktur (häufig INF-Projekte genannt) Unterstützung im Forschungsdatenmanagement. Zu den Aufgaben der INF-Projekte gehören sowohl die Entwicklung und Realisierung von Strategien rund um das Datenmanagement als auch der Aufbau von Infrastruktur. Der vorliegende Beitrag geht der Frage nach, was Stewardship in fächerübergreifenden, kooperativen Forschungskonstellationen bedeuten kann und inwieweit sich die zentralen Aktivitäten der INF-Projekte dem Bereich Data Stewardship zuordnen lassen.
