Desigualdades Interdependientes

Abstract

Las desigualdades sociales han sido estudiadas usualmente desde una perspectiva nacional, tomando como criterio de análisis ante todo las desigualdades de ingresos, y desde una sola disciplina, como la economía o la sociología. Desde 2010 se constituyó una red de académicos con base en la FU Berlín que ha propuesto un cambio de perspectiva partiendo de la idea de la interdependencia: por una parte se constata que las desigualdades en América Latina están conectadas con dinámicas transregionales; por otra parte explora cómo las desigualdades producidas en América Latina generan también desigualdades en la dirección opuesta y a escala global. En este sentido, sugiere estudiar interdisciplinariamente las desigualdades desde un enfoque transregional, tomando criterios multidimensionales de análisis que superen el estricto foco en las desigualdades de ingresos. El curso presentará este enfoque y lo ilustrará con numerosos ejemplos empíricos.
