Das zu besprechende Buch ist ein interdisziplinärer Sammelband zur Untersuchung der sog. Techno-Kultur. Mit der Konzentration auf Erklärungsansätze der sozialen "Entbettung" und Beschreibung einer Szene- und Eventkultur versäumt es der Sammelband, in der Breite stärkere Verbindungslinien zu Institutionalisierungs- und Selbstorganisationsprozessen Jugendlicher herzustellen und verfehlt damit z.T. sein Ziel, die Techno-Kultur von einseitigen Vorurteilen zu befreien. Die Rezension versucht, unter Rekonstruktion von Paradigmen sozial- und kulturwissenschaftlicher Jugend- und Jugendkulturforschung einen Hintergrund zum Verständnis von Jugendkultur als zeitspezifischer Lösung jugendlicher Verhaltensunsicherheiten anzubieten. Al reconstruir los paradigmas centrales de la investigación sociológica en jóvenes y cultura juvenil, la revisión pretende establecer ésta última como una solución de tiempo específico de las incertidumbres del comportamiento juvenil. Con el énfasis en la explicación de los patrones de cambio social tales como "desolidificación" (en la noción de Anthony GIDDENS) y el énfasis en la descripción de la escena y el evento cultura, la antología falla en ofrecer una aproximación profunda a las vidas de la gente joven aparte de los eventos tecno, por tanto, pierde su objetivo de liberar de los prejuicios a la cultura tecno. The book under discussion is an interdisciplinary anthology investigating German Techno culture. By reconstructing central paradigms of sociological youth and youth culture research, the review tries to establish youth culture as a time-specific solution of juvenile behavior uncertainties. With the stress on explanation patterns of social change such as "disembedding" (in the notion of Anthony GIDDENS) and emphasis on the description of a scene and event culture, the anthology fails to offer deeper insight into the lives of young people apart from techno events, thereby missing its goal to release the Techno culture from prejudices.
