ENERGÍA PARA UN MUNDO RURAL

Abstract

La energia para zonas rurales debe partir de soluciones creativas que vean este recurso como un medio para mejorar la calidad de vida de las poblaciones mas aisladas y no como un fin en si misma, segun lo planteado en la agenda 2030 de las Naciones Unidas y en varias de las metas de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, ODS. Algunas propuestas y soluciones en areas protegidas ensenan que, a traves de una mejor comprension de los requerimientos, realidades ecosistemicas, soluciones tecnologicas disponibles, que sean culturalmente aceptables y que involucren a las comunidades en su mantenimiento, los privados pueden interesarse en ser parte de estas soluciones, aprovechando los co-beneficios derivados. Estas soluciones energeticas deben ser menos intensivas en carbono, resilientes y adaptables a los fenomenos del clima, y que se generen a partir de recursos naturales renovables abundantes que existen en ciertas regiones tales como viento, sol, agua y biomasa. De esta manera, se podran implementar proyectos energeticos para avanzar en la busqueda de la cobertura universal del servicio de energia en Colombia, especialmente en las zonas rurales.
