
In June, 2010 ectoparasite Argulus coregoni was found in the middle section of the Kazanka River, left tributary of the Kuybyshev Water Reservoir (Republic Tatarstan, Russia). Paper deals with issues of the geographic distribution of the species, paths of its penetration and conditions, enabling occurrence of the parasite in the river. © 2014 Begell House, Inc.
