Novas superfícies em artroplastia total do quadril

Abstract

A artroplastia total do quadril tem sido indicada cada vez mais em pacientes mais jovens e ativos, alem de haver uma natural e crescente demanda do procedimento em funcao do aumento da expectativa de vida dos pacientes. Os altos custos da cirurgia e as controversias da performance dos implantes fazem deste assunto objeto de constantes pesquisas na busca de novos materiais com melhores resistencias ao desgaste e biocompatibilidade. O presente artigo abrange um estudo de revisao das novas superficies em artroplastia total do quadril.
