Abstract

Streszczenie: Coraz latwiejszy i tanszy dostep do Internetu sprawil, ze rynek gier wirtualnych na początku XXI wieku zacząl ewoluowac w kierunku masowych gier opartych na światach wirtualnych, tzw. MMOG (lub MMO). Kazda gra tego typu tworzy – poprzez analogie do świata rzeczywistego – wirtualną gospodarke zamknietą, ktora kontrolowana jest przez organ nadzorczy, jakim jest najcześciej producent gry. Oprocz aspektu czysto rozrywkowego gry tego typu mają wplyw na postrzeganie rzeczywistości przez graczy. Celem tego artykulu jest wskazanie szans i zagrozen związanych z rynkiem gier wirtualnych MMO oraz jego analiza z punktu widzenia mozliwości jego wykorzystania w dzialalności dydaktycznej. Slowa kluczowe: światy wirtualne, gry sieciowe, szanse i zagrozenia.
