Frenectomia a Laser (Nd:YAP) em Odontopediatria

Abstract

A frenectomia, tratamento realizado na indicacao da excisao do freio labial ou lingual, apresenta diversas complicacoes trans e pos-operatorias, quando utilizados os metodos cirurgicos convencionais. O laser cirurgico vem, crescentemente, sendo empregado nas diversas especialidades odontologicas. O proposito deste trabalho foi apresentar um caso de frenectomias labial e lingual, utilizando-se o laser Nd:YAP em paciente com 5 anos de idade, alcancando melhores condicoes trans e pos­operatorias ao paciente infantil.
