Disglucogenosis Enfermedad de Pompe asociada con Bronquitis Fibrinosa

Abstract

El trabajo comprende una revisión sobre las enfermedades producidas por depósito de glucógeno, y la descripción de un caso de enfermedad de Pompe, asociado con una Bronquitis Fibrinosa. En la primera parte del trabajo se analizan los aspectos conocidos del metabolismo del glucógeno, así como los defectos enzimáticos comprobados hasta la actualidad y su relación con las distintas enfermedades deslindadas. En el comentario se resume el concepto que actualmente se mantiene sobre la etiopatogenia de estos desórdenes. El rasgo más importante de la enfermedad es la deficiente producción de glucosa por el hígado, mientras que la mayor parte del resto de anormalidades parecen ser un fenómeno secundario. El defecto básico de la hipoglucemia no ha sido identificado, a pesar de que se han descrito varios defectos enzimáticos. Sin embargo, para algunos autores representarían una alteración secundaria, más que fenómenos casuales. No encontramos explicación para la relación entre Bronquitis Fibrinosa y Disglucogenesis.
