Efecto de la hepatectomia parcial sobre la carcinogénesis hepática producida por la dietilnitrosamina (DENA) en ratas

Abstract

Se estudia el efecto de una hepatectomía parcial (60-70 %), realizada en dos momentos distintos sobre la carcinogénesis hepática por la dietilnitrosamina, en ratas. Para ello se utilizaron 72 ratas macho de raza Wistar, y de un mes de edad al comienzo de la experiencia; 20 de ellas sufrieron una administración del cancerígeno, por vía oral, 6 veces por semana, a una dosis de 5 mgr por kilogramo de peso; los otros animales sufrieron, además, una extirpación hepática, 22 en el primer momento de la carcinogénesis, y los otros 30, tras 15 semanas de administración de DENA. A la muerte de los animales se realizó un estudio anatomopatológico. Los principales resultados, fueron la aparición en los animales hepatectomizados de un nuevo tipo de tumor derivado de las células endoteliales, el llamado hemangioendotelioma. El período de muerte, en cambio, fue muy semejante para todos los animales y asimismo el patrón de afectación lobular, por lo que cabe admitir que el proceso de carcinogénesis por este compuesto sea de tipo cummulativo e irreversible ya que el hepatocito apenas si modifica su carácter tras una fuerte onda regenerativa.
