Efectos bronquiopulmonares de la histamina

Abstract

Se estudian las variaciones de distensibilidad pulmonar y resistencia en cobayos y perros, durante el efecto de la inyección intravenosa de histamina. Se comprueba que la distensibilidad disminuye aunque tal efecto puede ir precedido de un ligero y transitorio aumento. Se explica el aumento de capacidad residual funcional observado, interpretándolo como secundario a la elevación de resistencia espiratoria. En el acceso asmático experimental, según investigaciones de Noelpp y Noelpp 18, el aumento de resistencia elástica es un factor decisivo, pero en otras investigaciones se ha podido observar que, en determinadas circunstancias, la histamina parece aumentar la distensibilidad (Casal 2). Por otra parte, nosotros llegábamos a la conclusión ele que el factor predominante en nuestras condiciones experimentales era el aumento de resistencia bronquial (Mouriz 15). Por todo esto, y pretendiendo precisar nuestros anteriores resultados, hemos creído interesante realizar estudios sistemáticos sobre distensibilidacl y resistencia durante la inyección de histamina en perros y cobayos. Realizamos ensayos con histamina por vía intravenosa porque aun cuando no reproduzca exactamente el acceso asmático auténtico, el efecto es evidentemente muy parecido, con la ventaja sobre otros métodos experimentales ele que simplifica la técnica y permite una valoración cuantitativa más segura y una mejor comparación de las experiencias en distintos animales.
