Abstract

Faktor utama radikalisme adalah tekstual dalam memahami ajaran agama, sebuah pendekatan dalam memahami agama yang berorientasi pada teks semata, literal dan skriptural. Upaya dekonstruksi pemikiran tekstual juga sudah banyak dilakukan, khususnya dengan pendekatan kontekstual tetapi usaha ini kurang bisa diterima di kalangan madzhab tekstualis, karena berseberangan dengan prinsip mereka. Menurut mereka, argumen teks tidak bisa dirobohkan dengan konteks, karena keduanya merupakan prinsip yang berbeda. Al-musytarak al-lafḍzi adalah salah satu konsep memahami teks suci yang dapat mendekontruksi argumen paham tekstual ini. Penelitian ini dikaji dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik dengan cara mamaparkan data yang berasal dari kajian pustaka kemudian ditarik kesimpulan umum. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan bahwa al-musytarak al-lafḍzi adalah sebuah konsep dalam memahami teks agama, satu kata memiliki beragam makna dan tidak bertentangan satu dengan lainnya. Kesimpulan dalam tulisan ini membuktikan bahwa kaidah al-musytarak al-lafḍzi dapat menganalisa makna teks agama secara komprehensif dan merobohkan argumentasi kaum tekstualis.
