A study has been conducted to investigate the metabolism of 14 C-labeled denaverine in the rat. The metabolites were mainly excreted in the feces and a large number of individual metabolites were found (although these represented a small percentage of the dosed parent compound). The pattern of the metabolites was recorded by means of thin-layer radiochromatography. The mass balance of excreted metabolites was established.
