Vulnerabilidad y políticas para asentamientos urbanos informales

Abstract

Se realiza una caracterización y análisis de la vulnerabilidad urbana en tres asentamientos informales del municipio El Hatillo, zona de expansión del Área Metropolitana de Caracas, durante los períodos 2018-2021 y 2022-2023. La investigación se inscribe en la perspectiva de la Teoría de la Vulnerabilidad Urbana y analiza sus cuatro factores: susceptibilidad, exposición, resiliencia y régimen ambiental para cada una de las zonas de estudio. Todo esto resulta de la revisión documental y de las entrevistas a actores clave que permitieron identificar y sistematizar sus procesos urbanos y el diseño y aplicación de políticas públicas con ellas vinculadas. Se determinó que la vulnerabilidad en asentamientos informales la generan sus habitantes y se reproduce con las políticas públicas municipales.
