La ‘pacificación’ y la ‘paz territorial’ en Urabá como lógicas espaciales de la paz

Abstract

Este artículo analiza la formación de dos lógicas espaciales de la paz, a partir de resultados de investigación en la región de Urabá (Colombia). Inicia revisando la formación histórica de una lógica espacial de la paz que asoció a Urabá con una región de frontera que debía ser sujeto de pacificación para dar paso a la materialización del orden hegemónico capitalista y de inclusión al territorio del Estado nación. Acto seguido, el artículo analiza algunos ordenamientos espaciales que subyacen en la lógica espacial de la ‘paz territorial’ que emergió con la perspectiva gubernamental de implementación del Acuerdo de Paz, y que se superpone a aquella lógica de la pacificación hegemónica. A partir de una estrategia metodológica que articula el estudio de caso y la etnografía multilocal, se concluye que la paz territorial tiene una versión estatal y normativa que no supera la lógica de la pacificación. Sin embargo, hay otra paz territorial que se configura como proyecto político antagónico y potencia las capacidades en los actores, pero que encuentra limitaciones ante la profundización de los desequilibrios socioespaciales derivados de la reconfiguración del conflicto armado, de la presencia fragmentada del Estado y de intervenciones económicas lícitas e ilícitas.
