
A raíz de la recuperación y del renovado interés que ha suscitado en la academia anglosajona la obra del filósofo y sociólogo marxista Henri Lefebvre, se plantea en el artículo un retorno a sus escritos. A través de una recuperación sistemática y penetrante de la obra de Lefebvre, el objetivo no será otro que rescatar los conceptos clave y extraer una síntesis de su pensamiento urbano que den, a la sazón, justa medida de la radicalidad del planteamiento de totalidad urbana sugerido por Lefebvre en su aplicación sobre la ciudad contemporánea.
