Abstract

<div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"><p><strong>In­tro­duc­ción: </strong><span>El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar retrospectivamente una serie de pacientes &lt;55 años, con artritis reumatoide, tratados con artroplastia total de rodilla evaluando las características distintivas de este grupo (movilidad, dolor y supervivencia protésica). </span></p><p><span><strong>Materiales­ y ­Métodos: </strong>­</span><span>Se evaluaron 24 artroplastias totales de rodilla en 14 pacientes (12 mujeres), promedio de edad 47,4 años y un seguimiento de 5,8 años. Se realizaron 4 reemplazos unilaterales y 10 bilaterales. Se utilizaron 20 prótesis importadas y 4 nacionales; un paciente requirió un suplemento metálico en el platillo tibial interno y 2 necesitaron vástagos. </span></p><p><span><strong>Resultados:</strong> </span><span>Antes de la cirugía, 14 rodillas tenían déficit de extensión. El arco de movilidad preoperatorio promedio fue de 92,8º, de 90º a las 6 semanas y de 110º al año. El deseje preoperatorio fue valgo en 22 rodillas, con un promedio de 12º y 2 varos de 3º promedio. El Knee Society Score mejoró de 42 a 83 puntos poscirugía, el puntaje propio de rodilla fue de 42 a 89 en el posoperatorio, en promedio. Hubo 2 complicaciones: una rotura del aparato extensor resuturado, con desarrollo de una fístula sinovial que requirió 3 limpiezas quirúrgicas, con evolución favorable y un aflojamiento mecánico que requirió revisión.</span></p><p><strong>Conclusiones: </strong><span>A expensas de la mejora del dolor y la movilidad las artroplastias totales de rodilla impresionan ser un procedimiento con muy buenos resultados a mediano plazo en jóvenes con artritis reumatoide. Estos pacientes requieren una cuidadosa planificación preoperatoria, teniendo en cuenta la posibilidad de utilizar vástagos y suplementos metálicos. </span></p></div></div></div><div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"><p><span><strong><br /></strong></span></p><div class="page" title="Page 1"><div class="layoutArea"><div class="column"><p> </p></div></div></div></div></div></div>
