Política monetaria y riesgo crediticio microfinanciero: caso perú, periodo 2003-2021

Abstract

Las crisis financieras y/o crediticias generan cuestionamiento del papel de los Bancos Centrales y su eficacia de intervención, por lo tanto, es necesario estudiar el rol que ha desempeñado este tipo de institución en la planificación de las principales políticas en el marco de la crisis del COVID-19 y su impacto en la estabilidad del sistema financiero. El objetivo de la investigación es determinar la influencia de las políticas monetarias en los riesgos crediticios entre 2003 a 2021. La metodología empleada ha consistido en un enfoque explicativo, causal y cuantitativo, con diseño no experimental y paramétrico, aplicando un modelo de riesgo VAR, a través del Método Generalizado de Momentos (MGM) y el método de mínimos cuadrados en 2 etapas (2SLS). Se trabaja con la base de datos de series de tiempo del Banco Central de Reserva del Perú (BCRP) y de la Superintendencia de Banca y Seguros (SBS). Los resultados dentro del modelo muestran que el coeficiente de la influencia de la política monetaria expansionista aplicada tiene un impacto significativo en el aumento del riesgo crediticio y viceversa.
