Cuadros inéditos del siglo XVII español

Abstract

Se dan a conocer 13 cuadros firmados, documentados o atribuidos a diversos pintores del XVII español, algunos bien conocidos como Carreño, Mateo Cerezo, Escalante o Valdés Leal. Otros escasamente conocidos como Félix Castelo, Luis Fernández. Diego López o Juan de Sevilla. De este se comentan dos alegorías de un gran interés iconográfico. Así como el que entrañan los tres cuadros de Valdés Leal, el "San Juan" firmado por Castelo en 1647, "La Purísima" de 1666 de Escalante o el pequeño boceto de Cerezo "el joven". Finalmente el "Retrato de Carlos II" catalogado como obra de Claudio Coello, es restituido a Lucas Jordán.
