
En las grandes culturas se conservan retazos de una “memoria” perdida, de acuerdo con la cual existio un “paraiso” en el que la condicion humana negaba la triste nueva condicion presente. En esa utopica condicion retrospectiva, el trabajo no era “conditio sine qua non” de la existencia. Se vivia para la actividad libre, creativa, no orientada a producir “medios de vida”. La humanidad primigenia giraba en torno a las posibilidades de un alegre “ocio” permanente, en el que brotaban sin esfuerzo las manifestaciones ludicas, esteticas, religiosas… La “jungla” no era una amenaza para la vida humana, sino precisamente el emporio de todos los disfrutes.
