Ciudades (in)descifrables imaginarios y representaciones sociales de lo urbano

Abstract

Aventurarse en la tarea de comprender la complejidad creciente de la vida urbana requiere, necesariamente, nuevos abordajes transversales y disruptivos. El tratamiento de la ciudad desde los imaginarios y representaciones sociales de lo urbano constituye una postura teorica y metodologica, la cual permite identificar y descifrar las predisposiciones a la reproduccion y las tendencias que anuncian formas de produccion innovadoras de la ciudad y la vida urbana. Esta obra, compuesta por trece capitulos de autores de Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Espana, Mexico y Venezuela, ofrece una muestra de los posibles contrapuntos, conexiones y discusiones que se abren en el campo de los imaginarios y representaciones sociales de lo urbano. Es un libro que navega entre los deslizamientos y las cauciones conceptuales sobre temporalidades, territorios y escalas, simbolos y catastrofes, fronteras y desigualdades, identidades barriales y ciudades ludicas, margenes y recelos, esteticas y consumos ocultos. Con este trabajo se busca actualizar las discusiones, renovar interrogantes, visibilizar objetos de estudio y perspectivas teorico metodologicas que contribuyan a seguir multiplicando las investigaciones y las inquietudes en este ambito.
