Abstract

Neste texto, após rever alguns conceitos de autonomia na literatura sobre aquisição de segunda língua, discuto o construto sob a luz da teoria do caos. Para comprovar que a autonomia é um sistema complexo, apresento evidências empíricas fornecidas pela análise de um corpus com 80 narrativas de aprendizagem de língua inglêsa do projeto AMFALE (http://www.veramenezes.com/amfale.htm).
