Abstract

Ao longo dos últimos anos, tem crescido consideravelmente o número de pesquisas que, no âmbito da chamada história social do trabalho, têm buscado nos processos da Justiça do Trabalho, uma fonte através da qual se possa ampliar a compreensão das experiências de trabalhadoras e trabalhadores brasileiros na luta por seus direitos, a partir da década de 1930. Se por um lado, esses trabalhos vêm revelando a riqueza desse tipo de fonte, que vai além muitas vezes da própria disputa trabalhista, por outro, têm ajudado a avançar um processo que já conta com algumas décadas, de revisão de certas interpretações da nossa historiografia no que toca à complexa relação entre classe trabalhadora e Estado, especialmente a partir de meados do século XX. Este artigo se propõe, portanto, a apresentar algumas dessas pesquisas e algumas das contribuições que elas têm dado a esse campo de estudos.
