Abstract

Exsheathed third stage larvae of Trichostrongylusvitrinus suspended in physiological sa/ine ıvere {rozen in liquid nitrogenand then stored for 249 days. Ajier thawing, the percentage of survivinglarvae ıvas {ound to be 29.2 %. Larvae were then orally trmısmittedto 5 sheep to determine the effect offreezing on ilifectivity. Tlıe infecti!'ity of tlıese larvae ıvas poor.
