TEPEGÖL MAARLARI (ULAŞ-SİVAS)

Abstract

OZET Sivas Ili Ulas ilcesinin Yesildiyar (Itkiran) Koyu’nun 1.5 km guneybatisinda, iki kapali depresyon dikkati ceker. Kizilirmak Nehri Havzasi ile Karasu (Firat) Irmagi Havzasi arasindaki su bolum sahasinda bulunan depresyonlar, kuzeydogu-guneybati yonunde dizilmislerdir. Kuzeydoguda bulunan Tepegol I depresyonu 900 metre agiz capina, 400 metre taban capina ve yaklasik 130 m derinlige sahiptir. Tabaninda Tepegol adi verilen kucuk bir gol yer almaktadir. Tabanin geri kalan kismi aluvyonlarla kaplidir. Piroklastik malzemenin kalinligi 30 metreden fazladir. Piroklastikler, erozyanal faaliyetler sonucunda kismen tahrip edilmislerdir. Katmanli piroklastik depo icinde temeldeki ofiolitik formasyona ait kayac parcalari gozlenmektedir. Maarlar buyuk bir ihtimalle Plio-Kuaternerde olusmuslardir. Dogrultu atimli sol yonlu fayin kontrolunde gelismislerdir. Tepegol Golu, deniz seviyesinden 1791 metre yuksekte, tipik bir maar goludur. Anahtar Kelimeler: Tepegol, maar, piroklastik, volkan, gol, Ulas, Sivas ABSTRACT Ulas district of the Sivas province is Yesildiyar (Itkiran) of the village, 1, 5 km southwest of the village, there are two closed depressions. These depressions are aligned northeast-southwest direction which located in watershed between the Kizilirmak River Basin and Karasu (Firat) River Basin. Tepegol I is in the northeast depression, 900 m mouth diameter, bottom diameter 400 metres and has a depth of approximately 130 m. The lake called Tepegol is located at the base of the depression. The rest of the base is covered with alluvial deposit. Floor level elevation of Tepegol II is 1851 m and a base diameter of 450 metres and the diameter of the mouth portion 250 meters. The depth of this depression having a circular shape is about 85 meters. It is 60 meters higher than the bottom of the depression in the northeast. These depressions have typical features of maar structures. Pyroclastics are disseminated due to severe gas pressure and deposited as concentric layers with slopes toward outside. Pyroclastics has a thickness of more than 30 metres. Pyroclastic material was partially destroyed as a result of erosive activities. Ophiolitic formation of the base of the rock fragments is observed in layered pyroclastics. Maars have probably occurred in the Plio-Quaternary. Depressions are developed in control of the left lateral strike-slip fault. The Tepegol Lake, 1791 meters high above sea level, is typically a maar lake.
