Economical education can be viewed as a relatively new activity of financial sector in Poland and globally. Author focuses his analysis on its functioning in Polish educational system and concludes that it currently resolves to banking education - both because of banks’ engagement in its organization as well as its bias towards individualism and consumerism. The final part of the article is devoted to alternative in a form of critical economical education, which would be aimed at critical description of economic processes and construction of individual and collective strategies of acting within the realm of economic activities and with a purpose of changing the latter.
