Przekroczyć granice ontologiczne: metalepsa interaktywna, awatary i gry komputerowe

Abstract

Niniejszy artykuł porusza kwestię tak zwanej interactional metalepsis (dosł. tłum.: metalepsy interaktywnej) w kontekście awatarów w grach komputerowych. Na tle tego zagadnienia zostaną przedstawione konkretne przykłady, w tym gry komputerowe Alan Wake II (2023) oraz Inscryption (2021). Artykuł podkreśla, że metalepsa interaktywna działa w sposób immersyjny, a awatary funkcjonują jako istotne narzędzia metaleptyczne: dzięki awatarom gracze mogą przemieścić się przez granice ontologiczne. Artykuł powołuje się między innymi na badania Astrid Ensslin (2015) i Alice Bell (2016) poświęcone interactional metalepsis.
