Sebaran Fosfat terhadap Konsentrasi Klorofil-a di Perairan Kota Pekalongan

Abstract

Muara Kali Banger, Kota Pekalongan merupakan salah satu daerah yang menerima masukan limbah dari aktivitas manusia di kota, salah satunya limbah rumah tangga. Limbah organik hasil aktivitas manusia yang masuk ke perairan akan mengalami degradasi menjadi senyawa anorganik berupa nutrien yang akhirnya perairan menjadi subur. Salah satu hasil degradasi bahan organik adalah nutrien P (ion phosphat). Kadar fosfat di perairan dapat menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat produktivitas. Produktivitas primer perairan dapat ditentukan berdasarkan konsentrasi klorofil-a, yang merupakan pigment utama fitoplankton. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2022 terhadap 11 titik. Variabel penelitian yang diukur meliputi fosfat, klorofil-a, dan kualitas perairan (suhu, salinitas, pH, dan DO). Hasil analisis menunjukkan kisaran konsentrasi fosfat dan klorofil-a secara berturut-turut, yaitu 1,054 sampai 1,130 µg/l dan 1,49 sampai 3,79 µg/l. Persebaran fosfat dan klorofil-a dari konsentrasi rendah ke tinggi cenderung dari arah timur ke barat dan barat daya mengikuti pola arus. Untuk respon klorofil-a terhadap konsentrasi fosfat di perairan, didapatkan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,24. Hal ini menunjukkan pengaruh fosfat terhadap konsentrasi klorofil-a sebesar 24%.
