Abstract

En esta monografía, Heriberto Janosch González y Francisco Pérez-Fernández abordan las agresiones sexuales desde una perspectiva criminológica rigurosa, evitando las simplificaciones habituales y mostrando por qué la "foto fija" de las estadísticas oficiales resulta insuficiente para comprender el fenómeno y orientar políticas eficaces. A partir del análisis sistemático de sentencias condenatorias (CENDOJ) y del estudio de variables situacionales y conductuales, los autores describen escenarios, modus operandi y tipologías de agresores -especialmente en delitos cometidos por desconocidos- con el objetivo de aportar herramientas útiles para el esclarecimiento policial, la perfilación criminal y la prevención. Complementariamente, integran evidencia procedente de encuestas a población masculina para explorar factores individuales como autocontrol, moralidad personal, actitudes y consumo de pornografía, proponiendo modelos explicativos que conectan lo psicológico con lo contextual y subrayan la centralidad del consentimiento. La obra culmina con un análisis del territorio y la densidad poblacional como claves para entender patrones diferenciales de agresión sexual, insistiendo en que la respuesta institucional debe adaptarse a los contextos concretos y no descansar en variables sociodemográficas gruesas. Con prólogo de Alfonso Serrano Maíllo, este libro ofrece una base empírica sólida y un marco integrador para investigadores, profesionales de la justicia y responsables de políticas públicas.
