El capítulo analiza la digitalización social como un reto que exige competencias digitales para formar una ciudadanía crítica, responsable y participativa, destacando la brecha en España donde el 43% de la población carece de estas habilidades pese a buena conectividad. Se reconceptualiza la competencia digital más allá del uso técnico, integrando pensamiento crítico, autonomía y empoderamiento alineados con DigComp y políticas como España Digital 2026 y LOMLOE, que promueven su transversalidad curricular para discernir información ética en redes.
The chapter analyzes social digitalization as a challenge that demands digital competencies to form a critical, responsible, and participatory citizenship, highlighting the gap in Spain where 43% of the population lacks these skills despite good connectivity. It reconceptualizes digital competence beyond technical use, integrating critical thinking, autonomy, and empowerment aligned with DigComp and policies such as Spain Digital 2026 and LOMLOE, which promote its curricular transversality to discern ethical information on networks.
