ERMENİ TEHCİRİ’NİN 100. SENESİNDE ÖĞRETİM PROGRAMLARIMIZDA ERMENİ MESELESİ

Abstract

Bu arastirmanin amaci, Turkiye’yi ozellikle her sene nisan ayinda uluslararasi alanda mesgul eden Ermeni meselesine, ogretim programlarimizda ve ders kitaplarinda nasil yer verildigine iliskin bir degerlendirme ortaya koymaktir. Bu nedenle arastirmada veri toplama araci olarak dokuman incelemesi yontemi kullanilmistir. Ermeni meselesinin konu olarak gecebilecegi dusunulen sosyal bilgiler, tarih ve Turkiye Cumhuriyeti Inkilap Tarihi ve Ataturkculuk ogretim programlari ve ders kitaplari incelenmistir. Elde edilen bulgular uzerinden betimsel analizlere yer verilmistir. Elde edilen bulgulara gore, 7. sinif sosyal bilgiler ve 8. sinif inkilap tarihi derslerinde I. Dunya Savasi’na iliskin kazanimlar varken, ders kitabinda Dogu Cephesi bolumunde Ermeniler ile mucadele edilmesine ragmen bu bilginin verilmedigi ve sadece Ruslar ile mucadele edildigi bilgisi verilmistir. Bununla beraber 8. sinif inkilap tarihi ders kitabinda Kurtulus Savasi’nda Dogu Cephesi basliginda Ermeniler ile ilgili mucadelelere, Ermenilerin kurdugu cemiyetlere ve bunlara karsi Turklerin kurdugu milli cemiyetlere, ardindan da kisaca soykirim iddialarina deginilmistir. 10. sinif tarih ogretim programinin ek aciklamalar kisminda ise detayli ve yogun olarak Ermeni meselesine iliskin bilgilere yer verilmistir. Verilen bu bilgilere karsilik gelebilecek ornekler ders kitabinda yer almistir. Turkiye’de ogrencilerin ilkokul birinci siniftan itibaren tarih konularini ogrenmeye basladiklari dusunuldugunde, Ermeni Meselesi gibi gunumuzde de devam eden bir sorun hakkinda sadece 10. sinifta az bir ders saati karsiliginda edinilen bilgilerin yetersiz kalacagi dusunulmektedir.
