Comprensión lectora de textos continuos y discontinuos mediante estrategias metacognitivas

Abstract

El propósito de este estudio fue entender el proceso de desarrollo de la comprensión lectora de textos continuos y discontinuos mediante estrategias metacognitivas, con el fin de analizar y describir aspectos importantes del aspecto literal, inferencial y crítico en las niñas y los niños del grado segundo. Se planteó como metodología un estudio de corte cualitativo, con el método de etnografía escolar, a través de las técnicas observación participante, entrevistas semiestructuradas y talleres. Los resultados más significativos parten de considerar que la lectura es un proceso constructivo y que las niñas y los niños pueden acceder a la comprensión tanto de los textos continuos como discontinuos con la mediación de la metacognición que perfila a un lector no solo apasionado por la lectura, sino crítico en el medio social y cultural al que pertenece. Finalmente, las estrategias metacognitivas posibilitan que el ejercicio de comprensión lectora sea más eficaz, a la vez que abren la reflexión de los estudiantes sobre su aprendizaje comprensivo, hecho que los vincula con el nivel crítico intertextual.
