Influência da proteção e acabamento superficial sobre a resistência ao manchamento de cimentos ionoméricos restauradores

Abstract

O cimento de ionômero de vidro, dado às suas propriedades preventivas, foi desenvolvido em busca de melhores propriedades mecânicas, estéticas e de manipulação. O propósito deste estudo foi verificar a alteração de cor por manchamento, dos cimentos ionoméricos restauradores Chelon Fil, Vitremer e Dyract em função da proteção e acabamento superficial, através de espectrofotometria, quantificando a concentração de corante depositado sobre o cimento, e ainda, fazer o monitoramento da superfície quanto à rugosidade. Os resutados mostraram haver diferença estatisticamente significante (p<0,01), quanto a concentração de corante depositado sobre as amotras dos cimentos ionoméricos, sendo o Chelon Fil o mais manchado, seguido pelo Vitremer e Dyract. Quanto a variável proteção superficial houve diferença estatisticamente significante(p<0,01) entre a presença ou não deste tratamento. Houve superioridade nos valores de concentração de corante para as amostras que não receberam a proteção superficial. Com relação a variável acabamento superficial, não houve diferença estatisticamente significante (p>0,01) entre as amostras acabadas ou não superficialmente. Não foi observada correlação direta entre rugosidade superficial e manchamento.
