The aim of this article is to supply other perspectives to the wide and heterogenous productions of Nuovo teatro, the experimental theater that took place in Italy in 1960s and 1970s, analyzing the theatrical works collected in the anthologies Teatro 1 and Teatro 2 edited by the Florentine artist Eugenio Miccini, and written by Ketty La Rocca, Achille Bonito Oliva, Giuliano Scabia, Luciano Ori, Giusi Coppini and others. This research demonstrates that there are still performances, experiments, and texts that can be studied to illustrate practices and reflections of this vibrant period.
