Abstract

Trois jeunes ethnographes temoignent de leur premiere experience de recherche sur le terrain, sous forme d'une sorte de confession. L'espion choisit une methode secrete afin d'etudier les sujets de discussion au sein d'un groupe d'enseignants. Le parasite met a profit son job de barman pour decrire l'espace social d'une station de chemins de fer. L'orthodoxe applique les methodes traditionnelles d'ethnographie organisationnelle pour etudier les effets de la reforme Nhs sur les organisations hospitalieres. Dans chacun de ces ecrits ils decrivent - d'une maniere tres personnelle - leurs emotions, peurs, les evenements critiques et les dilemmes ethiques qu'ils ont ete amenes a affronter en menant leurs recherches, ainsi que ce qu'ils ont appris de l' ethnographie de terrain lors de leur premiere experience
