Inflammation occurring at the attachment of the masseter muscle to the zygomatic arch--tenomyositis--must be distinguished from the more common disorders occurring in the rest of the muscle. Anti-inflammatory treatment has been effective in the treatment of tenomyositis. The cases presented illustrate the effectiveness of this type of treatment.
