
ABSTRACTAccess to information is one of the main topics covered ineducation, and the idea of introducing communityparticipation in the creation, development and propagationof knowledge has increased mainly with the movement indefense of open access and free information. In thiscontext, UNESCO also began to establish educationaldissemination strategies, such as Open EducationalResources (REA). These materials encourage teaching andresearch in the public domain, in addition to encouragingthe use, production and adaptation by third parties and alsoproviding the possibility of collaboration betweeninstitutions. The Arcaz repository, developed by thePET-CoCE group, is based on the group's research into thegrowing importance of disseminating knowledge andinformation in Open Access format. This article presents aheuristic evaluation developed in Arcaz based onInteraction Design Principles. This evaluation, with theparticipation of experts, resulted in the redesign of therepository. The next steps must involve communityparticipation for the participatory construction of newfeatures.
