Abstract

[EN] The Work Plan was established as follows: 1 .- To study the expression of proteins involved in glucose uptake in astrocytes in a model of loss of Cx43 in vivo. 2 .- To study the expression of proteins involved in the rate of glucose uptake after the loss of connexin 43 by action of the gap junction inhibitors, endothelin-1 and carbenoxolone, or by action of an siRNA specific for connexin 43. 3 .- Study of the involvement of factor HIF-1? transcription in the speed changes in glucose uptake promoted by the loss of the intercellular communication in astrocytes. 4 .- To study the involvement of the tyrosine kinase c-Src on changes in speed glucose uptake promoted by the loss of intercellular communication in astrocytes.
