Filosofia nel medioevo : il caso di Alberto Magno

Abstract

Il saggio esamina la concezione della filosofia di Alberto il Grande come si precisa dopo la sua “svolta” metodica intorno al 1250. Alberto concepisce la filosofia in due modi distinti. Primo, come scienza delle cause e ricerca e determinazione delle quiddità. Secondo, più genericamente, come risposta alla meraviglia umana di fronte a eventi straordinari, che sollecita l’interrogativo sulle cause e infine si risolve nella loro conoscenza. La stessa meraviglia è anche il punto di partenza del teologo, anche se non è destinata ad acquietarsi che nella patria celeste.
