This paper is an empirical study conducted with the objective of analyzing the expectations of users of the web pages of tourism. My aim is to contribute to the debate on the stabilization of the web page as a kind of telematic touristic genre. It is a user-oriented analysis that, in addition to providing empirical data to theoretical debate, has a possible application in web design, since it provides information to improve the usability of the web pages. The results highlight the emergence and development of different mental models for each type of web page. Therefore, we can assume that there is also a mental model of the typical web pages of tourism. To corroborate this hypothesis, I administered the questionnaire to several informants by sex, age and experience on the internet.
