Zabughin e Veselovskij : in margine alla Storia del Rinascimento cristiano in Italia

Abstract

L'intervento approfondisce il rapporto fra Veselovskij e Zabughin, che di Veselovskij fu allievo a San Pietroburgo. Fra i due grandi studiosi russi esistono diversi elementi di continuità, che sono suggeriti già dalle affinità negli interessi, nelle conoscenze, e anche nella biografia. Comune appare la vastità degli interessi e delle competenze, dalle lingue e culture classiche alle moderne, dal patrimonio slavo antico-russo alla cultura bizantina, dall’umanesimo italiano alla filologia tedesca; solo con l’aggiunta, nel caso di Zabughin, di un’approfondita competenza musicale, derivatagli dai severi studi fatti al Conservatorio di San Pietroburgo. Per entrambi viene poi sottolineato il peso decisivo dell’incontro con l’Italia, che rappresentò l’epifania decisiva nella loro vicenda intellettuale, anche per le collaborazioni a cui diede occasione, in particolare con i maestri della nostra scuola storica e filologica: D’Ancona, Carducci, Teza, Comparetti, per l’uno; Rossi, Sabbadini, Monaci, per l’altro.
