La dedica ad Antonello Petrucci del De proelio apud Troiam di Porcelio de' Pandoni

Abstract

Il saggio presenta l’elegia con la quale il poeta Porcelio de’ Pandoni dedicò il suo poemetto De proelio apud Troiam ad Antonello Petrucci, primo ministro di Ferrante d’Aragona, re di Napoli. Al rifiuto del modulo classico dell’esordio del canto epico il Pandoni affianca qui il vistoso spostamento della dedica dell’opera, affidata ad una sorta di epistola postfatoria in versi, significativamente posta in appendice del poema. Dell’elegia, tradita da due codici (Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana, Ottob. Lat. 1999, cc. 23v-24v; e Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana, Vat. Lat. 2856, cc. 21r-22r) è pubblicato, per la prima volta, il testo critico, con un apparato di fontes e note esegetiche. In appendice al saggio si legge una piccola silloge di carmi composti dal Pandoni ed indirizzati a funzionari ed intellettuali attivi presso la corte aragonese di Napoli.
